As we move into Chapter 7 Season 4, Week 5, the competitive landscape has fully settled into a fast-paced pump and SMG meta. Yet, I am watching thousands of Arena points bleed out across the lobby due to a completely preventable issue: obstructed aim down sights (ADS) views caused by Season 4 Battle Pass cosmetics. The community has been highly vocal about this, and the opportunity to fix your gameplay is immediate.

The new season introduced several mechanized back blings and heavy shoulder mods. While these look exceptional in the lobby, they are actively ruining your close-quarters build fights. When you edit a wall, swap to your pump shotgun, and ADS to secure a high-damage headshot, your camera shifts backward. A bulky back bling clips directly into the lower right quadrant of your screen. In a build fight where a pixel-wide peek determines who gets the first shot off, a massive jetpack or oversized tactical rig completely hides your opponent.

Anatomy of an Obstructed ADS

In the current meta, your loadout likely consists of a Pump Shotgun, a high-rate-of-fire SMG, mobility items, and utility. The engagement distance for the pump is incredibly tight. You are relying on precise crosshair placement as you break out of an edit. If your character model features a protruding back bling, you are forcing your own screen to work against you. The clipping effect is most severe when paired with larger character models or skins with slouched postures. The physical blockage slows your visual processing time by fractions of a second, which is the exact difference between landing a 150-damage pump and taking a one-shot elimination to the chest.
